1. Background and Purpose
Minds Matter of NYC, Inc. (“Minds Matter NYC”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we collect, how we may use that information, and with whom we may share it.
Minds Matter NYC reserves the right to change this policy whenever deemed necessary or appropriate without prior notification. Minds Matter NYC may in its sole discretion provide notice of any materially significant changes to this policy by posting notice of such change on the Minds Matter NYC website, which can be found at www.mindsmatternyc.org.
2. Data Collection/The Information Minds Matter NYC Collects
In general, you can visit the Minds Matter NYC website on the Internet without telling us who you are and without giving personal information about yourself. There are times, however, when we or our affiliates may need information from you.

Minds Matter NYC will always inform parents or guardians and obtain written or electronic consent to the collection and storage of Personally Identifiable Information about students who participate in Minds Matter NYC programs and events. Parental consent will be obtained by the parent or guardian reviewing this Privacy Policy and signing the Minds Matter Student Application Form and Participant Permission and Release Form and returning them to Minds Matter NYC.

Minds Matter NYC’s policy is to use any and all data collected by any means for uses that are important to our organization and our cause. We also collect information to improve your website experiences, enroll mentors, mentees and other volunteers of Minds Matter NYC, enable you to make donations, facilitate communication and collaboration with and among Minds Matter NYC participants, staff and alumni and enable you to stay informed on legislative issues important to Minds Matter NYC.
